Art to Me

I love all kinds of art. I'm just a creative person, but I have had parental figures that told me that I could not make money being an artist and that I should forget about it. So I gave up on it. I have been lost because they asked me to give up a part of me. I just can't do it anymore. I love to sew, I love to make jewelry, I love to sketch, I love to create henna tattoo designs, and most of all I love to write. Art to me is life, inspiration that speaks to people in different ways. Art brings people together, which is why I love it so much. You can have a horrible day and the right music or scene can make that horrible feeling go away. I want to inspire people with my art. I'm not trying to be famous, but I do want people to feel free. So much of society is based upon rules that are sometimes difficult to follow. Art to me is boundless. I think that is why the Diary of Ann Frank and artist like Tupac was so inspirational to people. They were brave enough to speak their minds even when there were unbearable circumstances. It's a great feeling when people admire my various art works. It reassures me that I am on the right path. I think everyone is an artist in their own way and they should explore their artistic side. Do whatever you want and be happy. It's good to be practical but its great to be happy. I think that is why I admire my friend Ricardo. He does what makes him feel happy, if he needs to go away for a while he will. That's something that as an artist I need to work on. I want to become boundless and unafraid of being different. I will and I hope you will too.

2010 Collection Update

I do have some new jewelry coming out but it won't be until November 2010. The inspiration for this collection is my journey through life since college. I met a lot of different people from different countries, and they all have let me with a little inspiration when it comes to my art. Stay tuned.

A Good Investment

I really want to get my jewelry out by the end of 2010. If anyone knows any jewelry shows that I can go to could you please let me know. I have never taken any classes for jewelry making. I just started making jewelry as much as I could. Since I have been in college I have not had a lot of time but I plan to have a new collection by the end of June. Please let me know if you like it. A Break...

I'm graduating in June so I have been taking a break from making jewelry. I have been learning to produce web kits in my tv workshop class. I love it. I love being able to create something that will envoke a certain feeling with different audiences. I will be taping Pioneer Bhangra 2010 for my class today. I can't wait to display my video. I hope you guys will enjoy it. I love learning about so many different types of art. I have always been a creative person at heart no matter what.
